At Palmview State Primary School we recommend that all volunteers (including parents of students) obtain a volunteering Blue Card. A volunteer Blue Card is free but can take a number of weeks to be processed so we recommend you apply for your Blue Card before the date you wish to volunteer your services at Palmview State Primary School.
Some areas within the school you could volunteer are
- Classrooms
- Stephanie Alexander Kitchen
- Stephanie Alexander Garden
- Library
- Tuckshop
- P&C organised events
- Sporting events/special school event days
To obtain a Blue Card you will need to create an account at the following website -
https://my.bluecard.qld.gov.au/account/registration/privacy-noticeOnce you have your account number you will need to email this through to admin@palmveiwss.eq.edu.au along with the following
- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- Your email address you have registered your account with
- Your contact phone number
Once this information has been recieved we will link your account to our school, you will recieve an email from Blue Card Services to log back into your account and finish the process. Once you recieve your blue card number please forward this through to admin@palmviewss.eq.edu.au
All volunteers will also need to undergo a mandatory volunteer mandatory training session. These session dates will be advertised on our Facebook page and our school calendar on this website and will be held twice a term.
